TEST TW WEATHER

Drop Box for Voting no longer allowed by law

A new state law no longer allows the use of our Drop Box for putting your voted absentee ballots in. If you put your voted absentee ballot in the drop box, it will not be allowed to be counted.  You will now have to mail your voted absentee ballot to the Town Clerk at her home or hand deliver it to the Town Clerk before election day or deliver it to the Town Clerk on the day of the election at the Town Hall or you can also vote in person before election day by contacting the Town Clerk.  If you choose to hand deliver it to the Town Clerk at her home or at the Town Hall on election day, the absentee voter is the “only” person who can hand deliver it. If someone other than the voter delivers it, it can not be counted.
